Professor Alison Green

Professor Alison Green is Institutional Dean for Teaching, Learning and Student Experience. This role encourages and supports a high-quality culture for innovative and excellent education and pedagogy, and an outstanding student experience, across the University.

Alison taught banking and intellectual property law for many years and was the Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (2014-2022).

Alison is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. She is a qualified solicitor in Scotland and worked for over 15 years in corporate law practice before joining the University in 2004. During her time in practice Alison was part of the management team of a medium sized law firm in Scotland and was head of their corporate division.

Alongside her roles at University of Stirling, Alison has held committee appointments with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
