Stirlingshire Educational Trust was founded in 1663 by local merchants to assist the poor and is now run by a body of Governors who meet to consider applications in March, June, September and December. Awards may be made towards fees, books, travel, equipment, kit etc.

Eligibility and availability

The Trust awards grants to individuals from the area of the County of Stirling who have lived there for at least 5 years, either currently or in the past, or have been born there. (The County of Stirling includes Stirling, Falkirk, Kilsyth, Grangemouth, Denny, Bonnybridge, Polmont and environs - you can ask the SET staff for clarification as to residential qualification).
