Prior to choosing to study MSc Education at the University of Stirling, Runan studied Physics Education in China and worked part-time as a physics tutor in a middle school as part of her study.

“Stirling’s reputation and rankings in the area of Education have been an important factor in choosing the course.”, says Runan.

Runan enjoyed the format of seminars and how she was able to share ideas directly with classmates and professors.

“The course helped me look at social justice in education from a different perspective and consider the relevance of fairness in my education as well as my career. It also helped me improve my critical thinking skills and question what Education is as a system and how it can be improved.”

After graduating, Runan’s goal is to teach physics and be involved in educational administration in China. She says, “The skills I acquired are crucial in my study and I will definitely apply them in my future career.”
