Scottish students

If you usually live in Scotland and meet the eligibility criteria, you do not need to pay tuition fees if you’re studying to be a paramedic, nurse or midwife.

Tuition fee grants for all Paramedic, Nursing and Midwifery students are administered by Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS). All students, new and returning, are required to apply to SAAS each year for their tuition fee grant.

All eligible students can apply for a bursary each year through the Paramedic,  Nursing and Midwifery Student Bursary Fund (PNMSB), administered by SAAS.

For further details of both the tuition fee grant and bursary can be found on the SAAS website.

English, Welsh and Northern Irish students

Fees are payable by UK students who live outside of Scotland. See our individual course pages for the specific fees.

Nursing Scholarship UK

All applicants from England, Wales, Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland who meet the conditions of their offer will receive a £2,000 fee waiver per year for Years 1-3 of study. It can be combined with the Honours Year Scholarship and the Access to Nursing Bursary. Find out more about the Nursing Scholarship.
