Forty-eight students are celebrating their graduation from the University of Stirling’s campus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Students marked their achievements in a range of programmes including accounting and finance, software engineering, computing science, and management.
Professor Neville Wylie, Deputy Principal (Internationalisation) at the University of Stirling, said: “Congratulations to our students who are celebrating the completion of their studies delivered at our campus in the United Arab Emirates – they should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved, and we wish them all the best as they embark on their careers or further study.”
Graduates, families, friends and staff came together to celebrate the Class of 2023's achievements.
The celebration event – held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Ras Al Khaimah – was attended by Dr Mario Kolberg, Associate Dean (Internationalisation), of the University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences.
Dr Kolberg said: “It has been a pleasure joining the latest cohort of University of Stirling graduates as they celebrate their achievements. Congratulations to the Class of 2023.”
Fifteen students graduated with a BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance; 13 with a BSc (Hons) Software Engineering; eight with an MSc Finance; seven with a BSc (Hons) Computing Science; four with a BSc Management; and one with a Certificate of Higher Education.
Graduates celebrated their achievements at the University of Stirling event in Ras Al Khaimah.
The University’s UAE campus, a partnership with Planet One International Education, opened in the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah in 2018 with the first cohort of students starting their studies in September of the same year. There are now approximately 300 students studying on the campus, which includes expansive teaching rooms, a large auditorium, a library, basketball and volleyball courts and a mosque.
The University of Stirling has an alumni community of more than 100,000, from over 180 countries.
