Entry and English language requirements

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language skills. For a complete list of the English language qualifications we accept, including where we are able to waive an English condition based on certain local qualifications, please see our English Language requirements.
Undergraduate
Minimum of 5 grades at B or above, and no grade below C in the WAEC (West Africa Examinations Council)/WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination). Applicants must have a minimum score of B in any essential subject that is required for the course. Find out more about the University of Stirling's Foundation programmes.
Students with a National Diploma (two years of post-school study) with ‘Upper Credit’ or higher (CGPA 3.0/4.0) may be eligible for direct entry to year 1 of undergraduate courses.
Students with IB, A-Levels or the American High School Diploma can be considered for direct entry. Please see course pages for requirements.
Postgraduate
Minimum of a second-class, lower division Bachelor's degree (CGPA 2.50/5.00).
