Carolina's Story

I have already studied a Masters in International Business, so I was looking for a qualification that complimented my research skills before starting my PhD studies, and the University of Stirling was the perfect option for my career aspirations. I not only got the tools and capabilities needed to improve my competences in business and management research, but I also had a great experience at the University.

Professors who teach this scope have a vast expertise, and the University offers classes in different research software. Thus, I learned qualitative and quantitative research methods, applying technology in order to improve the quality of the research. The library is a good place for studying and it has multiple sources to conduct your research.

I believe that the MRes in Business and Management provided me with the knowledge that I need to continue my academic career. I feel prepared to take the next step and I believe have the knowledge and practice that I need to face new academic challenges.

I’d advise future students to take part in the academic community and to enjoy the campus’ facilities. In my case, I enjoyed the sports centre, the careers’ office activities and the MacRoberts’ cultural events. The University is a multicultural space where you can develop new personal and professional skills, and make friends from different courses and countries.
