Welcome to the University of Stirling in the heart of Scotland, UK. Here you will find lots of useful information for students from Central Asia including entry and English language requirements, scholarships and funding information, and where you can meet our representatives in-country.

Entry and English language requirements

Select your country below to find details of the international qualifications we accept for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Please also check the specific grades and essential subjects required for your chosen course by checking our individual course pages.

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language skills. For a complete list of the English language qualifications we accept, including where we are able to waive an English condition based on certain local qualifications, please see our .

If your country is not listed or you have specific questions about your qualifications then please email our International recruitment team at international@stir.ac.uk.

Kazakhstan

We usually require school leavers from Kazakhstan to complete a Foundation Year programme for entry to an undergraduate course. Find out more about the University of Stirling's Foundation programmes.

We also accept applications from students who have completed one year of relevant university study.

Minimum GPA of 3.5/5.0 or 2.67/4 in a Bachelor's degree or Specialist Diploma.

Uzbekistan

We usually require school leavers from Uzbekistan to complete a Foundation Year programme for entry to an undergraduate course. Find out more about the University of Stirling's Foundation programmes.

We also accept applications from students who have completed one year of relevant university study.

Minimum of 70% in Specialist Diploma or Bachelor's degree.

Need help improving your English? If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements, our Pre-sessional English courses can help you progress onto your degree. Delivered on campus by INTO University of Stirling, you’ll be able to access expert training and language support.

International Society

The International Society gives students from all around the world a chance to meet each other and arrange fun events, trips and socials on campus, in Stirling or in different cities across Scotland to provide a real Scottish experience.
